Using hand weights and body weight, we will strengthen all our major muscle groups.

Kripalu Yoga is a transformative practice that delves into the profound connection between body, mind, and spirit. Through a blend of asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and deep relaxation techniques, participants will cultivate a sense of inner harmony and balance.
Kripalu Yoga encourages students to listen to their bodies and honor their individual needs, fostering a practice that is adaptable and accessible to practitioners of all levels. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the mat, this class offers a supportive environment where you can explore and deepen your practice at your own pace.
Throughout the class, emphasis is placed on cultivating awareness, both on and off the mat. Students will learn to bring the principles of Kripalu Yoga into their daily lives, fostering greater mindfulness, resilience, and well-being.

This class is for anyone 65+ who wants to maintain strength, flexibility, and balance as they age. We will include a variety of body weight exercises as well as use props like chairs, resistance bands, and yoga belts to add levels of challenge and support to the exercises. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels and modifications will be provided as needed.

Diedre tailors each class to the needs of the participants. She will guide students through Qigong forms to target areas of pain and stiffness, balance, posture, muscles, and tension relief, and how to walk and move more efficiently.
